An AO Original Portrait – An Honor and a Privilege
Portraits were not in AO’s game plan in 2012-2013 when he decided to take up the paint brush and give sports painting one more shot. Now, one of Kansas City’s premier sports painters, friend, FB friends and followers and family have taken note of AO’s skill on the canvas and every now and then he will get a request for a portrait painting. Sometimes those requests are to remember a lost family member, to commemorate a life milestone like a birthday, engagement or wedding.
Some of the toughest piece to work on are the piece of friends who have past or children of friends who have past. AO credits his focus and determination to deliver good work for his client or friends while appreciating the trust in him to deliver a good piece. “I can’t express the honor it is to be asked to create a painting of a family member, especially if they have passed on. They are not the easiest to paint, but I know it means a lot to the family,” says AO.

AO’s Portraits – A Great Wedding Memory or Gift
AO has had a great 10 years working on his craft and with many noticing his work, he has been approached by friends and fans of the work to create pieces commemorating special moments – like marriage. Two of AO’s favorite piece are a live-painting for newlyweds at their wedding reception and the other was a painting of an engagement photo that was then given as a wedding gift at the reception.
