Sports Painter Anthony “AO” Oropeza to Showcase Kansas City Royals Art at 2015 The National Council of La Raza Conference at The Kansas City Convention Center, July 11 & 12.

 

Kansas City, KS – July 6, 2015, AOART5 & Strong Ave. Studios are pleased to announce that Kansas City Sports Artist Anthony “AO” Oropeza will showcase pieces of his current sports paintings collection – featuring the Kansas City Royals at the 2015 National Council of La Raza Conference at The Kansas City Convention Center, July 11 & 12 from 12pm – 4pm (Sat) & 12pm – 3pm (Sun) at the Family Fun Expo with the KCMO Parks and Recreation booth.

Oropeza will also be displaying working in progress and painting on his pieces while at the conference. Attendees are welcome to view and discuss his work.

The pieces that will be featured at the conference will be Kansas City Royals greats like Salvador Perez (work in progress) , Lorenzo Cain (finished) and George Brett (finished). Other pieces on display will be the a work in progress featuring the late great Roberto Clemente.

Oropeza’s work will be featured at the Kansas City Museum (operated by the Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation) discussing and promoting baseball and softball, past and future, n the Kansas City area.

“It is a huge honor for me to be able to show a few pieces of my most recent sports art work at the (NCLR) conference. I hope locals and non-locals can see how much we love baseball and the Royals here in Kansas City.”, Oropeza said.
